[ welcome to... the beach, leading up to the cave! zhongli is not dressed for beach going, necessarily, but he doesn't seem perterbed by his trek up the sand towards the cave opening. he walks with his arms behind his back, but one hand holding his spear with the point angled downwards in the event that there's any trouble to run into along the way. ]

I thought as much, seeing the hill... ah, hello there. Mister Marcoh, if I remember correctly?

[ hi marcoh, whatcha up to. ]

[ It's okay, Marcoh doesn't look very dressed for the beach either. He looks slightly awkward trekking over the sand. He keeps pausing to just look around, seeming very out of place.

He's not quite jumpy but he does look a little bit wary. ]

That is me.

[ Frowning as he looks at Zhongli. ]

And you're...?

[ He's not that good with phones but having to remember forty people's worth of profiles and pictures is a lot anyway. ]

[ not everyone is a freak like him who has remembering on his profile. but he doesn't seem bothered by this question, and instead inclines his head slightly to acknowledge and also politely greet him. ]

Zhongli. How're you fairing so far, Mister Marcoh? It's been quite a bit to get used to, so some peace and quiet away from the bustle of the boardwalk is rather nice, I think.

Typically I could summon or disperse it, when empowered, so it's simple habit to have it with me. Especially in a place I'm unfamiliar with. But considering there's nothing of threat so far...

[ the way he says it, he clearly isn't a fan, himself. even if he's more muted by comparison. ]

This place has a twisted sense of justice and trials, if this is how they resolve things.

Likely in the eye of the beholder. I plan on speaking with the angels on what happened, although I would much rather speak with their God directly.

[ Another week another sucks to be here. Marcoh just is grimly filtering out of the execution arena afterwards, though he gives Zhongli a nod in passing. ]

It's Sunday.

[ Sure is the end of the week cycle. ]

[ a humorless little huff is his initial response, still so much scalier than he had been the rest of the week while they file along. he keeps his tail out of anyone's way, considering the train ride, but the end twitches angrily. ]

And tomorrow, we start all over again. I hope there are more answers and solutions.

I think, maybe hoping for answers to be given will be too much.

[ He likes the angels, he really does. But yeah. At this point. ]

Too much, maybe, but I will hope, regardless, as I seek a way for us to get them ourselves. Surely there must be something.

[ Hey Zhongli what's up. I'd give you a better starter but truly I am like these locations are HAPPENING dude!! We can be anywhere you want including under the dang sea. Also open to timewarp sillies or whatever. ]

in the undersea, there is a noodle of about large cat size trying to doggy paddle through the water. the problem is that he's upside-down and keeps going in circles, much to his distress, and keeps making strenuous, grumpy-stressed noises.

weird how he kinda has the theme of a certain somebody's transformations last week... ]

[ UPSIDE DOWN?? Marcoh is wandering into that water fast. ]

[ listen it's fine we can breathe here! "how'd he get out here" he walked with two legs and then this happened. ]

Rrrp! [ a surprised noise, but then he finds himself upright and paddles his little peets to look at marcoh with big, gold eyes. ]

[ Looking at Zhongli... we can usually count on this old man to be pretty level-headed despite the horrors.

[ we keep meeting up to vibe check each other every sunday, huh, marcoh.

he's even keel, still. but he stares off into the distance, for a little bit, like he's looking into another place entirely, or another time. but he blinks, once, slowly - and then he's back in heaven. ]

Every week, we say "this cannot keep happening."

I wouldn't find it strange if you got sick of hearing it.

[ Because God knows Marcoh is. It's why he doesn't also just open up with this again -- same old, nothing new. ]

It does get tiring to say. [ immediate and honest. ] But I've at least learned, from Hawke and Miss Neverah, that the affliction strikes them early on their Thursday, causing them to act.

So it is some sort of progress, albeit one that I'm not sure we will be able to do much with.

[ i'm going to drop us directly into memshare so that i can make sure we get everything taken care of. so whether they're in the funhouse or step through a doorway and find themselves there...

well, congrats! you've been chosen for a memory of salt (plus ending scene) for this one! if you want another one later on in the thread or the week i've GOT you, though i apologize that this is 20 minutes of genshin cutscenes. it's easier to watch than read because there's so much dialogue and lore i'm sorry.

[ Do you think about how much better of a game Genshin could be if they just added text-advance because I do. I'm not asking for a skip cutscenes button, just a literal text-advance. Like you click and it advances the text. Imagine. Imagine just that alone . . . anyway this 1k damage output hurts me.

[ i think you can increase the text speed in zzz. i would like to have that? that would be nice. genshin and hsr have taken other pages from their youngest sibling why can't they do that, too? ]

... [ that makes him huff a little chuckle. ] It depends on the rules. If they are fair, and agreed upon by all parties, then - yes. In Liyue, your word is your bond.

But if the rules are unfair, or lead to injustice, then I would sooner enforce the Wrath of the Rock there.

[ HSR was once the youngest child...... they did get a lot of stuff Genshin didn't have lmao and Genshin back-added like maybe 20% of it. Maybe they will back-add stuff to at least HSR... ]
