I spoke with him, Saturday evening, and I watched him as he was taken away at the end of the trial. He was not behind his eyes, then. And he did not act as himself when he was imprisoned. If madness from home is what took him, then we may have compassion for that, but offer no forgiveness for what he did in that state of mind.
For those that still grieve him, they should be allowed to. For those that hate him, they are allowed to, but should not disrespect a place of remembrance.

Or what was the cause for the barriers, or expulsion going the way that it did.

You could always get a dog cage like Mr. Adolphe did if you really want to put it somewhere public. Wouldn't stop him from trying, but he wouldn't be able to get in.
As far as they know. They're new to the position, and no fortress is impenetrable forever. I believe them, and trust that they'll let us know once they've learned more about what happened.
