It is. And it's starting to sound much like there is more than one way for someone to be compelled to kill - the affliction bordering on possession, and those forced to succumb to the temptation of the apples against their wills.

We all handle our sins in different ways. I guess it's no surprise that it'd manifest differently. For example, I was already a sinner before I got here, and I was tempted by one of the apples well before I killed Elysia. That'd make me a prime target for affliction, wouldn't you agree?
