Not necessarily. I've been able to take a human form for thousands of years, now, and it's the one that I am more used to these days as I haven't required my exuvia form save for my yearly descension prior to giving up my gnosis. But I did have to learn how to take it.

[ flicks tail ] The Rite of Discension was a culmination of my journey through Liyue in the previous year, where I would advise my people on how best to proceed in the upcoming economic year so that they might prosper, and know what challenges they could face given the socioeconomic issues and threats to Liyue that were discovered in my travels.
But they no longer need my aid in this. They had long been able to stand on their own feet, with the help of one another and the Liyue Qixing to oversee it. The Qixing are merchants and business leaders that have rised over the years through Liyue, to a position of governance, and their input has been invaluable to the prosperity of the nation.
