[ and like... he will, they can go, but honestly it takes him a minute to get up and move. the waves are soothing, and he's found that paradise makes him sluggish. sleepy. they can just sit for a while longer.
and then he'll finally stand, brushing himself off. off we goooo ]
[ he'll remain seated for as long as jiaoqiu does, partially because he's content with the tranquility of it all and partially because jiaoqiu's tail is curled so close to him. it'd be more polite to let the foxian move, first, to sort himself out there.
once he does, though, he gets himself up to his own feet and dusts himself off, before leaning down to get the vortex vanquisher again. awaaaay! ]
It takes some attuning, in a way, but it is quite fascinating a thing. I had wondered if there would be anything beneath the hill the lighthouse sits on, and there it was. A door in a cave.
It seems to suit the magic of this place. [ ... ] In a way, it makes me think of Penacony. I've never been, but the world of dreams must have similar threads.
A world of dreams? [ headtilt... ] Quite a spectacular place it must be, this Penacony. But if you haven't been there, I don't suppose I can ask for a demonstration of that, as well. Unfortunate.
[ a light joke. he'll show jiaoqiu the door when they arrive, before going to open it to the pink, fluffy clouds inside. ]
Haha, it would be more of the same. My dreams are uninteresting.
[ but! when they get there, the clouds do some wriggling.
the yaoqing is a sister ship to the luofu, but they're similar enough that pictures of the luofu will do. the landscape of the yaoqing is a little like a series of ports, a planet within a ship in many different folded dimensions. there are sections that look like a ship dock, some that look like sci-fi streets, and even further yet, stacks of buildings on top of each other. there's a lot to look at, and he'll make his way through a few landscapes like these, ears laid back and relaxed. ]
I am sure that I would beg to differ, but I can understand. I wouldn't think mine very interesting either to another person.
[ oh. oh!
zhongli's reactions are more reserved compared to most peoples', for the most part, so it's truly obvious when he's surprised. he pauses there and watches the clouds change into something that is so familiar it instills homesickness, but at the same time... is so alien that it almost feels uncanny. slowly, he turns in a circle to get the full scope - and then goes to follow after jiaoqiu. ]
So like and yet unlike Liyue... I can see why you would rather show than tell.
[ he's wandering through the image of aurum alley, because of course this is his favorite place. ]
It's hard to describe in words. [ he does really just. love his home, honestly. the streets are empty, though, and so it's harder to be attached. it's always been the people he's cared about most. ]
[ if only he could touch the things here. he wants to interact with the world that jiaoqiu is showing him, run his hands over stalls and carvings, touch the leaves as he has back home. ]
It's a beautiful place to call home, Jiaoqiu. [ sincerely, as he catches up with his easy, long strides, folding his arms behind his back so that he doesn't reach out pointlessly. ] Our architecture is quite similar to one another, although I can see where yours is sleeker, a step into the future that Liyue could one day see.

the inquiry doesn't surprise him too much. more practical a thing, than trying to describe it with only your words. ]
Of course. It's merely up the beach, beneath the hill. Whenever you're ready we may set out, and I would be glad to exchange the gesture.
