It's possible. But we're already contained in this limited scope within Heaven, so I imagine that many will be restless and left to do little besides distract, speculate, or investigate.
I had stopped by the Confessional twice, both times to see if I could perhaps run into our bartender since we have been unable to send word to the other angels, and the second time someone had made a mess of the place. [ wry. restless truly is the word here. ]
... of course, Miss Maomao. Would you like to divulge why now, to better prepare ourselves for tomorrow?
And especially with someone so bright as Charlie to be the one we lost.
[ he has osmanthus wine, now, so frankly he's geared up to drink. (no) (he's going to stay alert) ]

[ he can drink and stay alert! coffee exists here. ]
That would be appreciated. [ since she knows people will question it ] Nearly all of them are old, but I did have Mizu cut my arm when we arrived here.
he nods in return, reaching to unbutton one of his wrist cuffs on his very nice shirt. that done, he starts to neatly fold, tuck, fold, tuck, the cuff up his arm before pulling the glove off.

It is not, no. [ he'll let her! it still feels like skin, perhaps just warmer where it's golden as opposed to where it starts to darken. ] Usually things like this are a sign of being an adeptus - non-human.

Adept means someone who is high skilled.

Adepti are illuminated beasts and gods, so that is not necessarily far from the mark.

... you have endured much for your practice, Miss Maomao.
... still, you've devoted that knowledge and curiosity to your practices, yes?
I might not approve of that method, and will certainly be trying to keep you out of harming yourself too much while we're here, where I can, but... I can respect the dedication to your desire for knowledge, dangerous to yourself as it might be.

If it comes down to an investigation of sorts, then I may have to rely on your discretion.

I suppose it is understandable. Loss can be a difficult thing, especially when it brings uncertainty about our ability to return to our own world.
[ maybe everyone should just drink tonight ]
It would make it easier. [ ... ] I have quite a few marks on my left arm from my own experiments.

Would you mind terribly showing me? I can offer something in exchange, if it would help - knowledge for knowledge, discretion for discretion.

Rather than my practice, it's for my own curiosity. My mentor, the father who raised me, often called me a mad scientist.
[ she will point to the wound that looks close to the letter 'x' ]
This one wasn't one of my experiments. I accidentally came in contact with an interesting specimen that was highly toxic.

While I doubt there will be much I could experiment with here, I will be sure to let you know if there have been any changes.
