[ the thing about exploring is that you have to cover every inch of ground, so zhongli makes his way into the confessional with his usual quiet interest, arms folded behind his back now that he's dressed again. you're canon familiar i'm not linking he's just peepaw in his usual glory. ]

Ah. [ and then he spots a familiar face, expression taking on a small, companionable smile, as he comes in proper. ] I was wondering what this place might have been. Have you taken a look at things yet, Yves?

[ obligatory fit check instead of sexy angel costume! though at least now i can mention that yves was probably covered in bandages beneath his angel costume earlier so it wasn't even that scandalous. if nothing else, it just shows that the lace half mask he was wearing wasn't just part of the costume - it's an outfit staple. yay!

but yves is grinning! is he already behind the bar? maybe! ]

Sure have! It's where the booze is, Zhongli! Are you a drinker? Or shall I find a juice for you?

[ look at the boy! so many people arrived here bandaged that it does worry him a bit, but yves seems to be in good spirits. it means he won't bring much attention to it, and instead chuckle at the mention of juice. ]

You rather enjoy playing the host, I think. [ with light amusement. ] No, I enjoy a good wine somewhat regularly, as much as I do a well-made pot of tea. But if they're lacking in that I suppose I'll see what else there is.

There's plenty of beer, if you want something hearty and typical. Mixed drinks for a different little concoction - something adventurous! Or just shots if you're trying to get good very fast.

[ he follows along from the other side of the counter, curious. wow venti would be happy to know there's endless beer. ]

I believe I'll take the slow and scenic route, personally. [ no thank you to shots. does peepaw look like a shots guy to you. ] A beer will be fine for now, as something to try, since it's a little less popular in Liyue.

We are most fond of osmanthus wine, as a nation. Our neighbors in Mondstadt will make dandelion wine that is enjoyable, but, truth be told, I would take ours most any day - the taste is more delightful.

[ it tastes the same as he remembers.............. anyways he lifts up the beer, lifting it in thanks. ]

[ whoa........................ yves lifts up his beer in the same motion! though he'll also clink their glasses together ]

Then - a toast to good drink and good company!

Maybe they'll widen up the selection so I can try your osmanthus wine some day.

[ clink! he huffs a little laugh at the toast. ]

Cheers. [ he will take a sip afterwards. it's not terrible, it's just. beer. not his particular taste, but he'll try most anything once. ]

With the way things have opened up overnight, that is a possibility. What do you think of the new changes, Yves?

Hmm... I'm appreciative, because I'm sure everyone likes having space to stretch and a bed to sleep in.

But... I kind of wish we'd get that pamphlet? There's a lot of questions that I didn't expect to have after dying.

he doesn't seem to notice immediately, or if he does he's not inclined to point it out right away. but he does watch him. ]

I wondered if perhaps it was on the phone, after someone explained its functions to me, but I wasn't able to find anything. Perhaps my own unfamiliarity for the technology, but if no one else has reported its discovery... [ sigh ]

Ah... I hadn't heard anything. The tech is like... what they've got at the Institute, but it's way above anything what I know.

It's a really confusing time, but I'm at least glad that the people around seem trustworthy and helpful.

Overall, that does seem to be the experience. [ a small smile ] Some of us seem to have thrown a few fits, but... I can't necessarily fault them, so long as it isn't to continue.

Well... some people are pretty young.

I think it's normal for their emotions to get the better of them but - that's a privilege of youth, right?

It often is. [ with some exasperation, but also... fondness. ]

If only we could give them a better outlet for such emotions, especially given what they've gone through.

Hmm... We could always set up a sparring club? Or self-defense lessons?

Oh, what an excellent suggestion. I noticed we have many swordsmen, at the very least, but even those inexperienced could benefit.

I think especially those who are inexperienced should learn the basics. I know this is heaven, but it can be a good outlet for aggression, too.

And it may be something that they would be take home with them, once we have figured out how to leave.

[ honestly rng choosing beach is wildly appropriate. zhongli can be found with polearm in hand, point angled downwards but grip tight and ready rather than absently loose like it had been for most of the week so far. he's walking the length of the beach and scanning it with brow furrowed, expression severe, like he's just - looking. for anything. where charlie was, any signs of a scuffle or struggle or fight or anything, but coming up short the entire way.

approach? he hasn't immediately registered that someone else is there with him, to be honest. ]

[ of course he's approaching - yves is careful to watch his own step, mostly stepping in the existing footfalls of footprints already there to try to disturb the scene as little as possible ]

Were you able to find anything, Zhongli? You're okay? You're not hurt, right?
